FHM UK crowns its 2009 High St Honey winner

Our friends at FHM UK launched their High St Honeys competition late last year. They made the call for girls across the UK to remove their outer garments and email their jpegs. And no fewer than 13,892 ladies have obliged. The purpose-built inbox, closely guarded by one much-envied FHM staffer, bore witness to a new record number of hopefuls, all bidding to become 2009’s High Street Honey champ.
But in the end, there could only ever be one winner. Her name? Charlotte Thomson, a former photographic assistant from Truro, Cornwall, and now officially Britain’s hottest girl next door. “I still can’t take it in,” giggles the 21-year-old. “The whole competition has been incredible. I never expected to get in the Top 10, let alone win. It’s surreal. I guess I just have to thank my fans.”
