Extreme Exposé’s Layla

PICTURE 1 OF 10
Meet the leader of wrestling’s hottest dance team

After beating out thousands of WWE wannabes to win last year’s Diva Search, this British beauty has made a name for herself as the leader of ECW’s sexy dance team, Extreme Exposé. Now she’s strutting her stuff for our cameras and telling us what she really thinks of her teammates, Brooke and Kelly Kelly.

The last time we talked to you was after you won the WWE Diva Search. What’s life been like since?
It’s been crazy. I have done as much in the last year as I’d normally do in two or three years. I’ve traveled around the world, joined Extreme Exposé and now I’m shooting for FHM. It’s been a big roller coaster, but it’s been a great change in my life.

What did you have to go through to win the Diva Search?
It started off as a nationwide competition, then they selected 250 girls to go to L.A. From there it was two or three days of auditions and they picked the top eight. Then it was up to the crowd. We had bikini boot camp, dance contests and a talent competition. They would throw us surprise challenges to see how’d we react. But, at the end of the day, it was up to the fans.

Most fans know you as a dancer with Extreme Exposé. Are you interested in getting in the ring and mixing it up?
I love what I’m doing now with Extreme Exposé, because it’s how I was brought into the WWE, but of course I want to wrestle. That’s where my passion is. When I’m in the ring, I don’t think about anything else. I train and have matches in Florida now and, hopefully, I’ll have an opportunity to get in there and actually wrestle for the WWE.

Did the other WWE Divas give you an initiation?
My first appearance as a WWE Diva was at SummerSlam 2006. I was walking into the locker room and Trish [Stratus] and the other Divas pushed me into the shower, got me wet and spanked me!

Not a bad way to make an entrance. You were a dancer before coming to the WWE, weren’t you?
I did work as a dancer. I’ve danced with P. Diddy and Kanye West at the MTV Awards. I also danced with the Miami Heat for two years.

Do you prefer doing backbends to bodyslams?
I love doing Extreme Exposé, but I would like to get in the ring a bit more. Jillian and Kristal were pretty mean to me and I never really got my opportunity to get back at them. And I really want to get Victoria, too. She has an attitude.

You’ve had problems with former Real World douche and current ECW Superstar The Miz, too.
When I met The Miz, I really didn’t like him—we didn’t click. Then he came to ECW and slowly, but surely, we’re working on it. He’s a chick magnet and you know how us women change our minds. But he better watch out if he gets on my bad side again.

Please tell us he’s not the type of guy you go for.
Um, no [laughs]. The Miz is not the type of guy I go for. I know within five minutes of meeting a guy if I’m going to like him. But usually the guys you say you want the most are the guys you don’t date.

Men must be pretty intimidated by you.
Once somebody talks to me they can tell that I’m not that intimidating. But people always say that if they don’t know me or if they see me from afar they think I can be a little intimidating.

What do you love about your Extreme Exposé partners?
I love the way Brooke can just say whatever she wants. She’s a strong person and if you want an honest opinion she’ll give it to you. I love the fact that Kelly is so sweet. She’s always smiling. She always wants to have fun. And I also love how she can do gymnastics, because I can’t.

Who would win in a triple threat match if Extreme Exposé ever went at it?
The natural answer would be me, but, honestly, I think that would be one tough fight.

Check out Layla every Tuesday at 10 p.m. on Extreme Championship Wrestling on the Sci Fi Channel.
