The sexy Reunion star dives into her hottest shoot yet

Remember when Madonna was an unrepentant harlot instead of the Kabbalah-preaching, faux-British-accented housewife of today? Amanda Righetti doesn’t—the star of Fox’s new drama Reunion was born in 1984, the same year “Like a Virgin” was cheating Ray Parker Jr.’s “Ghostbusters” out of more deserved radio time. But that hasn’t stopped her from taking inspiration from the material matron.

“My character in Reunion, Jenna, is very much about the whole ’80s Madonna thing: loud and attention-getting,” says The O.C. and North Shore alum. “For the audition, I wore legwarmers and pumps. It’s scary looking back on ’80s fashion. Spandex is just ugly. They like having me in spandex on the show. It’s tight, so guys probably like it.”

Indeed guys do. They will be thankful for the producers’ non-spandex wardrobe selections too.

“Jenna is a free spirit, so I wear a lot of short skirts and push-up bras,” says the Las Vegas native. “I also wear a lot of bras with mesh shirts over the top. I’ll be wearing a lot of skimpy clothes in Reunion. You won’t be disappointed.”

Reunion is set right after a high school graduation. What were you like in school?
I was a loner. I changed my hair color every three months. I had this really nasty blond hair, then I went to black right after that, which was even worse. I went goth. It was bad. My hair got a little fried from the dying and one day I decided to chop it all off. It was a boy-short-and-spiked kind of thing.

Did you get a lot of attention from the field-hockey team?
A lot of girls started hitting on me. It was a high school thing, and there were girls who were bisexual. I was in that weird, experimental stage and I totally got hit on by this one girl. I was so nervous. It was so totally weird and awkward.

How did you handle it?
I didn’t handle it at all. I was like, “I’m flattered. I like guys.” So, yes, the short hair was a big hit with the women, but I never went there. Don’t get me wrong: Girls are beautiful, but I’m definitely into guys. I made out with a girl once but I’ve never gone further than that.

We’re betting your nickname in school was Spaghetti Righetti.
Yes, it was. Spaghetti Righetti is my nickname to this day. My Reunion co-stars call me Spaghetti Righetti. It’s grown on me with time. You can’t really fight it.

Why does every hot chick claim to have been a loser in high school?
There was that pretty-girl factor. People would ostracize me without knowing a thing about me. I was shy in high school. I didn’t know how to initiate conversations and people would take that as me being a bitch.

How does the hotness help now?
I guess being pretty has its advantages. Guys blow my looks up more than I ever would. I guess I have issues with myself. I don’t think I’m as pretty as everybody thinks. Girls can turn bitchy having to deal with aggressive men. I can’t be left alone for two minutes without some creep saying something. You never want some sleazy guy saying to you, “Hey, you’ve got great tits.” I’m like, “Ew, get away from me.”

You grew up and lived in Las Vegas before making it big. How weird was your existence?
It wasn’t really. I used to have a job delivering packages to these random places out in the desert, though. One of them was Mercury, NV, which is part of Area 51. I’d have to get security clearance to get in there. I’m not sure what was in the packages or what they were doing out there but it was kind of sketchy. It felt like being in an episode of The X-Files.

Do you believe?
I can’t imagine there’s not some other sort of life, but I didn’t expect to see aliens in Area 51 either. If there is a little green man out there, it’s probably some deformed human they’re trying to pass off as an alien.

Being a Vegas girl, what do you look for in a strip club?
I’ve been to strip clubs several times. I just have a drink and watch the fun. It’s surreal to sip a cocktail with naked ladies dancing randomly and gyrating on poles. I’ve had a lap dance. It was pretty hot. The guys I was with bought it for me. After that, the girl wanted to give me another dance. I guess she preferred dancing for me more than the guys I was with.
